French Polynesia: A Great Place For All Travelers

French Polynesia is a wonderful place for all types of travelers. Whether you want to relax on the beach, sun bathe on your overwater bungalow, take a jeep tour through the rainforest, or go scuba diving to experience the ocean life, this will truly be the trip of a lifetime! Choose from one or a few of the 100 islands in the South Pacific to travel to for your next trip. We traveled here for our honeymoon in July and had much difficulty determining which islands to visit in our two week stay. With so many islands to choose from, we ended up choosing Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora because of their close proximity to one another and their unique differences, which you can learn about in our detailed itinerary here.

As an overall tip that helped us stick to our budget while traveling luxuriously, we chose to utilize grocery stores or nearby markets. Food and alcohol at the resorts can be expensive. We had breakfast included in our stay at each location we traveled to, but lunch, dinner and alcohol wasn’t. We liked to get some french bread with salami and cheese to have for lunch. In terms of alcohol, we brought small airplane bottles with us and we picked up some vodka duty free in Los Angles. When we were at the grocery stores, we would get some fresh juice to mix with the alcohol and that made for the perfect, low cost, cocktail. Did we ever indulge at the resort or restaurants in the evening? Of course! But, for the day time, we were focusing on keeping our cost low so we could splurge on our stay at these beautiful resorts.
